Indigenous Knowledge is broadly defined as a cumulative body of knowledge, held by, and unique to, Indigenous people who have been in their traditional territories co-existing with the species and ecosystems of these lands for time immemorial. This knowledge may be passed down over many generations or produced in and shaped by more recent times and ways of knowing.
